“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.” –Andrew Carnegie
From the start, the Swoopy Project was more than just a dream of converting an almost forgotten piece of domestic steel rusting away in a remote barn – it was a plan to realize the car’s destiny and showcase the true DNA of an American custom. The consummate part of the entire experience was getting lifelong car enthusiasts who are experts in their field together to build this beauty.
As the Swoopy Project came together, the relationships developed during this build were the consummate part of the experience. Blood, sweat, tears, money and more money transformed Swoopy into exclusive company; a truly one of a kind expression of automotive art. Since the initial unveiling at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Swoopy has since brought inspiration to 1000’s at car shows and private showings.
A big shout-out to everyone that gave so much, more than just their exceptional skills and talents, to bring Swoopy to the pinnacle of it’s expression; life is short and the hours you spent are worth more than any bag of cash. But, bags of cash sure made a difference.
As my dear friend George Barris [RIP] once said: “we were working all hours of the day and night, and I look back now, feeling sorry for our neighbors who must have been driven crazy by our constant sawing”…
